Have you ever been in a place or position or relationship in your life and wish you weren’t there?
Have you ever looked back in your past and compared it to where you are now in life and wished you were much further ahead than you are?
Well, at some point in time you’ve gotta look at yourself, your life, and maybe even your relationship, and see it for what and where it is. Why? Because, you are where you are! There’s no changing that, right?
Sure, you wish you could have grown past your previous mistakes to place you in a much different position than you are right now. But you didn’t, for whatever the reason. I know, you shoulda, coulda, and wished you woulda. But let’s face it, you didn’t.
That’s the past. It’s over and there’s absolutely nothing that can be done about it, except learn something from it, so that you don’t repeat it.
So, if you took the time now to look back and reflect on your life, what is it that you wish could be different? If you can get clear on that, then come up with what you can do now, in this moment to do something different. What is that? Do it now!
No matter what you think, or how you feel about the past, it can not be changed. The only thing that can be changed is the future, and that depends on what you do different today. You see, you are where you are today as a result of what you did yesterday. So, if you want tomorrow to be different from how it is today, then today, is where you make the change.
If nothing changes, guess what? NOTHING changes! Absolutely nothing. BUT, if something changes, something else will change as a direct result of that one thing that you changed. That’s based on looking at how things showed up for you today. If you like it, leave it as it is. Do nothing different. But, if you don’t like it as it is, do something different. Anything. And as a result, something about tomorrow will be different because of it. How’s that?
So, it’s time out for moaning and groaning about where you are in your life. You are where you are. Period! If you don’t like it, you know now what you can do so that you’re not in this same spot tomorrow doing the same old thing. It’s totally up to you.
Just know though, that if you have issues now and don’t do anything different about them, you’ll have those same issues tomorrow, and possibly even more, merely by doing nothing.
So, what do you do? First, look at where you are. Second, examine it. What are your thoughts about it? How do you feel about it? Third, decide what you want to do about it, if anything at all. And fourth, move forward from there.
You can do nothing about yesterday because it’s gone. You can do nothing about tomorrow because it’s not here yet. But today is a present to you. What will you do with it? You are where you are. The question is, where do you wish to go from here? It’s your call!
