What’s Growing Around Your Relationship?

You are in control of what grows, or not, around you. If you want your relationship to grow, you have the power to do just that; to grow it. However, that won’t happen if you have a bunch of weeds, unpruned trees, big heavy rocks, and cactus all around you.

You see, you must make sure that your relationship is in an environment conducive for healthy growth. Does the picture above look like a healthy environment? If so, we really do need to connect, lol! But seriously, you do need to have a picture in mind of what you want your relationship to look like.

Take a look around you. What does your relationship look like? How does it make you feel? That should give you an indication of what might need to take place.

If you feel good about your environment, keep doing what you’re doing, because it is evidently going down the path you want it to go. But, if you do not like or feel good about where you are, or the direction you’re headed in, consider some things you can do to change directions.

In the above picture, what are some things you might do to make that environment better so that things look healthier? You could maybe:

  • Move the big heavy rocks around
  • Pull up the weeds
  • Stabilize the cactus
  • Prune the trees

Now just imagine. What do you suppose that same area looks like now, with the changes made? A lot better, right?! Just because things are growing, doesn’t necessarily mean things are healthy. You could have the wrong thing growing in the wrong place, at the wrong time you want it to grow.

Well, you have the same snap shot photo in your view about your relationship. You can change it the same way we just changed the picture above. You just have to decide what you’d like to change and start working on it.

Remember, it’s your relationship, and you are in control of what you want it to look like for you. The same way we just changed the picture above together, if you would like support with your relationship, reach out and connect with me here.
